ILPS-member Anne Schuth is the 2010-2011 winner of the KION Thesis Award. The award is a national prize awarded annually by the joint Artificial Intelligence degree programmes in the Netherlands (KION: Kunstmatige Intelligentie-Opleidingen in Nederland) for the best thesis in the field of artificial intelligence.

NWO has decided to fund the SEED project: Semantic Search in E-Discovery. This is a four year project funded within the Forensic Science program. Besides the ILPS group it involves HvA, Fox-IT Forensics, FIOD and NFI. The project will fund two PhD students at ILPS.Continue reading
The EU has decided to fund the LiMoSINe project: Linguistically Motivated Semantic Aggregation Engines. With a duration of three years, academic partners from the University of Glasgow, UNED (Madrid) and the University of Trento plus commercial partners Llorente & Cuenca and Yahoo!
