DIR 2011 – call for papers

DIR 2011 will be held on February 4, 2011 in Amsterdam, and the first call for papers was sent out today.

The primary aim of DIR is to provide an international meeting place where researchers from the domain of information retrieval and related disciplines can exchange information and present innovative research developments. DIR 2011 will put special emphasis on interaction – by focusing on poster presentations and creating space and time to meet and discuss new ideas.

Vacancy for a PhD student working on evaluation methodology for search engines

The position is in the PROMISE project, a new European FP7 project starting in September 2010. PROMISE is a Network of Excellence involving 10 prominent partner institutions in seven European countries.
